👋 Hey there,

Most thank you notes are forgettable.

"Thanks for your time!" → Delete.

This prompt writes ones people remember.

The Memorable Thank You Note

Goes beyond generic appreciation to create real connection.

📋 THE PROMPT:

Write a thank you note to [RECIPIENT NAME] for [WHAT THEY DID].

Context:

  • Relationship: [Boss/Client/Mentor/Colleague/Customer]

  • What they did: [SPECIFIC ACTION]

  • Impact on you: [HOW IT HELPED YOU]

  • Next step: [WHAT HAPPENS NEXT, if applicable]

Note should:

  • Start with specific appreciation (not "thanks for your time")

  • Reference a specific moment or detail from your interaction

  • Explain the impact (how it helped/what changed)

  • Feel genuine, not transactional

  • Be brief (3-4 sentences max)

  • End with forward momentum (if appropriate)

Tone: Warm and genuine, not formal or stuffy Avoid: Clichés like "I really appreciate it" or "It means a lot"

🎯 HOW TO USE IT:

  1. Think of someone who helped you this week

  2. Fill in what they did and how it helped

  3. Generate the note

  4. Personalize one detail

  5. Send it (email, text, or handwritten)

  6. Don't expect anything back

💡 PRO TIP: Send thank you notes within 24 hours while the moment is fresh. Specificity > length. "Thanks for explaining the API docs when I was stuck on line 47" > "Thanks for your help."
